Dance festival 'is just one part of breathtaking Croatian holiday'
26 March 2010Visitors heading to Croatia this summer for the Garden Festival have been advised that the event does not have to be the end of their holiday.
Eddie O'Callaghan, creative director of the festival, says while he hopes the ten days of dance music he is helping to organise will be the "experience of a lifetime" for guests, they should spend more time afterwards to explore the "breathtaking region".
From the festival's base in Petrcane, both Zadar and Split are within easy reach.
Mr O'Callaghan suggests there are "lots of incredibly diverse locations to explore, from the archipelago of Dugi Atok to the wealth and beauty of Hvar, through to historic cities including Split and Zagreb".
Taking a dip in the Adriatic Sea - which offers top-class diving facilities - and chartering a yacht are other activities highlighted by the festival official as being especially enjoyable.
Croatia is, he says, a welcoming and open place to visit, with tourists assured of a memorable holiday.
The Garden Festival runs between July 2nd and 11th.
