Developers 'still determined to provide golf park for travellers to Dubrovnik'

Despite delays caused by bureaucracy and red tape, developers of a proposed golf park near Dubrovnik have promised they remain committed to the project.

Due to be built in Srdj, which neighbours the historic city in the south of Croatia, Dubrovnik Golf Park will feature 27 holes over 310 hectares of land, reports the Croatian Times.

Ivan Kusalic, of the Razvoj-Golf company, tells the newspaper his company is having problems winning a permit, but will not give up on the plan, which will provide a top-class golf centre for people holidaying in Dubrovnik and the surrounding area.

He also blames a number of contradictions between local and national authorities.

Despite this, tourists who remain confident in the idea could choose to book a holiday in Dubrovnik once it is completed in order to take in the new surroundings.

The overlooking Mount Srdj is already one of the most popular attractions in the city, with its cable car carrying visitors to the summit for a bird's-eye view over Dubrovnik and the Adriatic Sea.
