Dubrovnik accommodation offers base in "really beautiful city"
02 July 2010A travellers has told of his experience on holiday in Dubrovnik, which is described as "really a beautiful city".
An unattributed piece on the NotHemingway website revealed that despite carrying heavy bags and finding it tough to park, Dubrovnik was a "feast for the eyes" from the moment it was accessed.
Indeed, the individual goes on to note the entire spell in Croatia was "wonderful" and the country is now providing a very real threat to their placing of Italy as a favourite holiday destination.
"It is all really nice. And it is very affordable. We had a good meal, right on the harbour last night for a little over $30 (£19.74). Incredible," the writer explains.
Other highlights of Dubrovnik include the ancient walls that run around the city and a new cable car that links it to the summit of Mount Srdj.
It is often dubbed the Pearl of the Adriatic by tourist experts, thanks to its picturesque setting.
