Dubrovnik an "idyllic" Mediterranean city
01 December 2008Dubrovnik in Croatia has a great deal of charm and history and is an idyllic Mediterranean city with ancient walls and little islands to explore.
The proprietors of Restaurant Dubrovnik in Solaris Mont Kiara have evoked this image of the country making it easy for diners to relax, according to a writer for klue.com.
Food at the eatery is comforting and the first course of bread freshly made at the premises and ajavr, a Croatian vegetable salsa, is irresistible.
The appetiser is the ideal introduction to the country's traditional cuisine and consists of cheese dumplings, crepes with fresh cheese and rice balls in melted cheese.
For the main course the restaurant provides a range of pizzas, lamb and beef kebabs cooked on an outdoor grill and a traditional minced beef and rice dish, the writer says.
The marble-paved squares, cobblestone streets, houses, churches and fountains in Dubrovnik are fascinating, according to writer for the Calgary Herald.
