Dubrovnik attraction 'is mix of Disneyland and Gardaland'
05 August 2010Travellers to Dubrovnik can now enjoy learning all about the city's history with the latest technology.
A new 5D museum has opened in the Church of St Claire that takes visitors on a journey through time, exploring the events that have shaped Dubrovnik.
The facility "combines Disneyland and Gardaland theme park experiences with [a] modern museum" feel, explains the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
It is the only attraction of its kind in the world and also features a virtual creation known as World Network, which allows tourists to leave their photo, details and handprint in an attempt to break the world record for the largest human trace.
Of course, it is not only the 5D museum that those staying in accommodation in Dubrovnik will enjoy on their break in the city, with the ancient walls and new cable car to the top of Mount Srdj also likely to be popular with many people.
Dubrovnik is a quaint city known for its bright red rooftops and, in the 2001 census, had a population of just over 43,000.
