Dubrovnik beaches 'are perfect for a relaxing holiday'
18 August 2010Families considering taking a holiday in Dubrovnik could find one of the most relaxing ways to spend their time while abroad is by visiting the town's beaches.
This is the opinion of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, which has cited the sheer variety of beach types as one of Croatia's best charms.
Commenting on those on offer, the it claimed: "This is where you can rest, relax, run away from the stresses of everyday life [and] enjoy the crystal clear sea."
According to the website, Dubrovnik's shores range from fashionable beaches with modern facilities to family-friendly spots, as well as sheltered and secluded coves.
Holidaymakers with accommodation in Dubrovnik who prefer sightseeing to lazing on beaches could take advantage of the town's newly rebuilt cable car, which commenced operations this summer.
According to the official website, among the sights to see are the old town of Dubrovnik, the islands surrounding the mainland and the views of the Adriatic Sea.
