Dubrovnik holiday allows tourists to explore "pearl of the Adriatic"

People taking a holiday in Dubrovnik this summer will be visiting the "jewel of the Dalmatian coast" and the "pearl of the Adriatic", according to a travel writer.

Judy McEuen, in her piece for Troy Media, says the ancient city is a destination that "definitely" lives up to its reputation.

"Dubrovnik justly deserves its title Pearl of the Adriatic," she states, before asking: "Where else can you find marble streets lined with baroque buildings all topped with red tile roofs?"

Other highlights of the historical spot on the Dalmatian coast include its ancient walls that surround the city.

Ms McEuen says it is "no wonder" Dubrovnik is such a favourite with all those who visit, as the walls are intact and provide such a historical and enjoyable backdrop.
