Dubrovnik holiday is a "cost-effective" option for Britons
01 April 2010People who take a holiday in Dubrovnik this summer will not be "at the mercy" of the euro, a travel expert claims.
Emma O'Boyle, UK media relations manager for TripAdvisor, says the use of the kuna in Croatia makes a break in the walled city "cost-effective" for UK tourists.
As a result of the attractive financial factors, she states the website "expect[s] to see lots of British tourists taking advantage of this over the coming months".
Highlights for those who choose to spend their holiday on the Adriatic coast may include a walk around the city's ancient perimeter walls, a visit to one of its many Baroque churches or houses and a relaxing time spent in its picturesque Old Town.
Ms O'Boyle also notes there is a range of accommodation on offer in the city, with travellers well-catered for at both ends of the market.
Dubrovnik was named by the Guardian recently as one of Europe's most romantic destinations.
