Dubrovnik 'is packed with history for tourists to enjoy'

The unnamed author, writing for the Startrekships website, points to Dubrovnik's status as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site as a reason to visit the city.
With a range of ancient spots to visit, Dubrovnik is well prepared to welcome culture vultures and history fans alike.
The Rectors Palace - that was previously the city's administrative centre - and the Old Town's main street, Stradun, are also mentioned as being among the top places to go.
But Dubrovnik caters for the modern too, with the writer also noting its immaculate beaches, significant offering of festivals and the hundreds of nearby Adriatic islands as perfect for the trendy traveller.
Dubrovnik is located in the south of Croatia and is served by several airlines from all major UK airports.
