Enjoy a 'bustling festival' on a Dubrovnik holiday
10 August 2010Individuals on a Dubrovnik holiday may want to join in with the celebrations during the Croatian city's summer festival.
The event takes place until August 25th and showcases open-air concerts, opera, theatre and dance productions, with artists such as the Varazdin Chamber Orchestra, Ysaye Quartet and Miguel da Silva and many others taking part.
Venues across the walled city, including Rector's Palace Atrium, Revelin Fort and Belvedere, will play host to the multinational performers
What's On When states: "Today [the festival] has grown to become a real review of top solo artists and ensembles from all round the world."
And those on a Croatian holiday in Split may also benefit from outdoor festivities, as the location's big summer event is also underway - until August 14th.
It was recently revealed by Lonely Planet travel editor Tom Hall that the number of tourists heading to Croatia has been steadily increasing since the 1990s.
