Enjoy the Christmas story on holiday in Croatia

Travellers looking for somewhere to truly get in the Christmas spirit this year need look no further than a holiday in Croatia.

That is because the town of Cazma, located just east of Zagreb, is telling festive tales throughout a festival that is due to run between December 19th and January 6th.

It centres around a garden that is decorated with thousands of lights and other attractive items, described by the Croatian National Tourist Board as "a magical sight" boasting an "idyllic atmosphere".

All of the traditional components of the Christmas story are in place, from the stable to the manger and different ornaments.

The organisation goes on to promise those who holiday in Croatia and visit the attraction "an unforgettable sense of a deep dream followed by awakening in a world of fairy tales, a world of a true Croatian Christmas story."

Alternatively, those who wish to travel to Dubrovnik were recently assured by the city's tourist board that winter is an ideal opportunity to explore.
