Famed Macedonian singer to serenade Zagreb

A famed singer and actress is to light up Zagreb next week when she performs at one of the city's theatres.

As reported by the Croatian Times, Macedonia veteran Kostadinka Velkovska, 60, will appear for one night only in the capital to serenade those in attendance.

Entitled, Moja prica, moj zivot - Hrvatsjoj s ljubavlju (translated as My story, my life - to Croatia with love), the performance will feature a combination of traditional Croatian and Macedonian music conducted by Toni Eterovic.

Prior to the main event, Ms Velkovska will warm-up the audience with the monologue Pod maskom (Behind the mask), penned by legendary Croatian author Miroslav Krleza.

Born in Skopje but a resident of Croatia, Ms Velkovska made her name starring in a number of popular films in the region.

She will appear at Zagreb's Kerempuh theatre on February 9th and begin her performance at 20:00.
