Flights to Croatia help mark summer season at Manchester Airport

Britons boarding flights to Croatia at Manchester Airport this Easter weekend are some of those helping the airport kick-start its summer season.

The airport has said that the official holiday season has begun for those boarding flights to Croatia and other destinations.

Many airlines have increased the number of flights to various destinations, especially on some of the more popular routes.

Approximately 300,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport this Bank Holiday weekend, many of whom will be going on a Croatian holiday to take advantage of the many towns the country has to offer.

Tonci Lalic, from the Makarska Tourist Board, recently told the Croatian Times that the town already has reservations for 800 people during the Easter period, which starts tomorrow (April 2nd) with Good Friday.

Makarska can prove to be an ideal place to explore the Dalmatian coast, with the islands of Brac and Hvar nearby for family day trips.
