Flights to Croatia 'offer access to winter sun and the slopes'
12 July 2010Tourists looking for a winter getaway later this year will be able to take advantage of new flights to Croatia with easyJet.
The low-cost airline is opening up a service between Gatwick and Zagreb, meaning people can leave the UK capital in favour of Croatia's largest city.
And this could leave travellers ideally positioned to venture either into the Croatian mountains to enjoy one of Europe's newest ski resorts or to the Dalmatian coast.
"Whether passengers are looking for an adventure on the slopes or a spot of winter sun our new routes offer something for everyone," explains Paul Simmons, the carrier's UK general manager.
The Gatwick to Zagreb route takes up some of the 73,000 flights easyJet is offering around Europe this winter.
It also flies to Dubrovnik and Split as part of its service in the continent, which is now at its widest in the airline's 15-year history.
