Football player helps team to victory
09 December 2008A Croatian football player scored two goals for his club Hamburg in a match against Cologne last weekend, which helped them win the match.
Mladen Petric scored both goals in the 2-1 victory away from home, which means his club are now fifth in the German league table Bundesliga.
The striker headed two goals in the first half of the game, after 15 minutes and half an hour, leading to Hamburg's ninth win of the season.
It was the club's first away win in more than two months, just after the team qualified for the Union of European Football Associations Cup when they won against Slavia Prague.
Another Croatian football player who suffered a broken leg in a match last February is close to making a return to his Premier League club Arsenal.
Brazilian-born Eduardo was tackled by Matthew Taylor in a game against Birmingham, which resulted in him being unable to play for the Gunners.
