Gerard Butler may have been lost in crowds on Dubrovnik holiday
24 May 2010Hollywood star Gerard Butler, who was last week enjoying a break in accommodation in Dubrovnik, may have visited Stradun - the city's largest and best known street.
That is the view of Meri Matesic, director at the Croatian National Tourist Office in London, who says the actor was photographed sitting on a boat, in the port and relaxing in the sun.
Some have speculated on whether the A-list celebrity ventured further into the city, perhaps enjoying the delights of its ancient walls or taking a stroll down Stradun.
"Maybe due to the crowds, [the photographers] didn't notice him. Or he simply lost himself among other tourists which is quite possible," Ms Matesic suggests.
The peace and tranquillity of Croatia mixed with its history and supply of luxury Croatian villas is an obvious temptation to stars from across the world.
Other famous faces to have spent time in Croatia recently include Doctor Who actor Matt Smith and Formula One racing legend Michael Schumacher.
