Globetrotters to show-off skills in Split

The world-famous Harlem Grobetrotters are to show-off their skills at an upcoming show in Croatia.

Known for their unrivalled technical ability in basketball, the exhibition side will appear in the coastal resort of Split next month.

Tickets for the team's unique brand of court skills and hilarious comedy are available from tomorrow (February 20th).

Formed in 1920s Chicago, the Globetrotters have featured in more than 25,000 games over the last 80 years.

Beginning as a competitive side, the Harlem heroes eventually began to introduce comic elements into their play - but only once they had attained an unassailable lead over their opponents.

Eventually, the group took their self-styled showboating to never before seen levels, as demonstrated by classic players such as Bobby Joe Mason and Curly Neal during their 1970s heyday.

The team will be appearing at Split's Spalladium sports hall at 20:00 on March 9th.
