Goran Ivanisevic's Croatian villa 'illustrates quality of accommodation'
12 October 2010The Croatian villa owned by former tennis star Goran Ivanisevic is an example of the high-quality accommodation that can be found on the Dalmatian coast.
According to the Croatian Times, the Financial Times has recently named the property as one of the most beautiful within 30 minutes of Split Airport.
It notes the daily Vecernji List as stating the villa is on the market for about €4.5 million (£3.9 million), as well as being available for great "weekend escapes".
Travellers planning a stay in central Dalmatia may find plenty of Croatian villas of a similar standard in the region, which is famed for its theatre culture, beautiful beaches and tasty seafood dishes.
Wimbledon champion Ivanisevic is just one celebrity to have invested in property in Croatia.
Earlier this year, Meri Matesic, director at the Croatian National Tourist Office in London, revealed Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher also owns a home in the country.
