Guns N' Roses concert 'still on for those heading on holiday to Croatia'
18 August 2010People who have booked a holiday in Croatia in order to enjoy Guns N' Roses live in concert have been urged to ignore a Twitter message claiming the event has been cancelled.
A hacker is said to have broke into the account of band member Axl Rose and used his name to break the news, reports the Croatian Times.
However, organisers say the tweet, which asked fans to contact show bosses for a refund, is a hoax.
"Although the concern is understandable since the most popular rock-band in the world is involved, there is no reason to panic because the tour and Zagreb's concert will take place according to schedule," explains concert chief Lupa Promocija to the newspaper.
The band will perform as scheduled in Zagreb on September 24th, with scores of fans expected to travel to Croatia.
Guns N' Roses are due to visit a host of European cities as part of their upcoming tour, including Belgrade, Bucharest, Lisbon and London.
