Head on Croatia holiday to enjoy watersports

Watersports enthusiasts have been advised to head to Croatia - possibly for their summer holiday.

Jon Bousfield, writing for the Telegraph, notes the sandy beaches at Nin on the Dalmatian coast are particularly suitable for hitting the waves.

"Coastal breezes make this a moderately good place to windsurf and boards can be rented from a summer-only shack at the northern end of the beach," he states.

Other activities people may wish to enjoy while on holiday in Croatia include swimming, power kiting and sailing.

And once they have finished in the water, Mr Bousfield has a tip for the perfect way to relax, unwind and get ready for the rest of the day.

"Smear your weary limbs with therapeutic peat-like mud", he urges, which can be found in the heath alongside the beach.

Holidaymakers who act on the writer's advice should book flights to Zadar Airport, located just a short distance from Nin.
