Head to Dubrovnik for taste of "nature's Viagra"

Tourists heading to Dubrovnik with a loved one this summer may wish to try out a natural aphrodisiac straight from the Adriatic Sea.

Oysters are the city's most famous and popular dish and at Mali Ston they are served moments after being taken from the ocean, Marion McMullen, writing for the Coventry Telegraph, explains.

"They will certainly give you a much needed energy boost if you fancy tackling the mountainous medieval city wall around Ston or even just plan a trip to the historic salt pans," she states.

And they could also help amorous couples make the most of their time in the city, with Ms McMullen describing them as "nature's Viagra".

Oyster soup, crispy fried oysters and oysters in seaweed are all dishes that are served to a high standard in the historic city of Dubrovnik and may tempt those who visit.

Dubrovnik can be reached with flights from the UK by both easyJet and British Airways.
