Holiday in Croatia could be ideal for 'confident British travellers'
01 December 2010The economic situation and confidence in the travel market could make 2011 the year for a holiday in Croatia.
Emma O'Boyle, spokeswoman for TripAdvisor, says most people are feeling increasingly safe in the vacation market and are leaving the uncertainty of 2010 behind.
However, many are still "proceeding with caution" – and a bargain break is likely to remain a highly-desirable option.
"While many Brits plan to increase travel budgets and take more holidays this year, the major issues of 2010 will largely impact travel plans," explains Ms O'Boyle.
Such a situation may make a holiday in Croatia the perfect option for thousands of tourists, with a foreign holiday symbolic of renewed faith in the economy, but the country's value-for-money nature ensuring money goes further than in many other traditional destinations.
Recent research by the travel website found more than a third of Britons believe they will up their spending on holidays next year.
