Holiday in Croatia is "cooler, edgier and cheaper" alternative to Ibiza
24 June 2010Young adults currently searching for a clubbing holiday in Europe may be wise to ditch traditional venues such as Ibiza in favour of a break in Croatia.
That is the view of the Guardian, which this week suggested some of the most notorious clubbing scenes on the continent are becoming "well-trodden and expensive".
In their place, destinations such as Croatia - with its diverse and busy nightlife - are emerging as the next wave of top places to party.
"In the past two years Croatia has become one of the most talked-about countries for clubbers," the newspaper stated, adding its wide range of festivals had helped to create a buzz about the country.
While events such as the Garden Festival and T-Mobile Inmusic Festival are the most famous, good nights out can still be enjoyed in spots such as Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik outside of festival season.
The latter of the two is currently taking place and features a line-up including stars such as Billy Ocean.
