Holiday in Dubrovnik "has it all"

Taking a holiday in the ancient Croatian city of Dubrovnik has been described as having it all, no matter what a traveller's requirements.

Alexander Horne, writing for the Scotsman, suggests the resort in the south of the country is one that can meet any set of demands.

"Whether you are looking for an active culture-filled venture around the city and nearby coast or a complete luxury disconnection from the daily office slog, this Dalmatian treasure has it all," he states.

The author goes on to note Dubrovnik is a mix of Unesco heritage and picturesque hideaways, with no shortage of great places to eat and drink.

Mr Horne also asserts the city has a "busy calendar" of events, with a host of traditional and fun celebrations available to holidaymakers throughout the year.

One of these is the annual Dubrovnik Carnival, which is due to take place once more this winter.
