Holiday in Dubrovnik 'is invitation to crystal sea and cocktails'
14 July 2010People who jet off to Dubrovnik this summer will be met by an historic city with crystal-clear sea and starry skies.
That is the view of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, which also suggests sipping a cocktail in the coastal resort and taking in the numerous street performances.
Summer in the Croatian city is dominated by its festival, featuring a number of events, concerts and parties - and often attended by a host of famous faces.
Some of the highlights include virtuoso musical performances at Rectors Palace Atrium, sitting on the steps of the spectacular St Blaises Church and visiting the Franciscan Church gargoyle.
And when the plethora of activities on offer have been exhausted for another day, retiring to a smart Croatian villa may be a comfortable and luxurious way to spend the night.
Dubrovnik can be reached by UK tourists with British Airways and budget airline easyJet, both of whom offer flights to Croatia.
