Holiday in Split villa 'offers beach opportunities'

Travellers to Split may be forgiven for focusing on the ancient city's historical impact and luxurious harbour surroundings.

But those staying in a villa in Croatia's central Dalmatian coast have been reminded they can also enjoy time at the beach.

Judy McEuen, writing for Troy Media, said when the fun and fascination in some of the resort's buildings and streets begins to wear off, tourists have quality beach facilities just a few minutes away.

She nominated Bavice as an area people may like to visit, with the shoreline within walking distance of the middle of Split.

"You can take a dip at the cool waters, take lazy stroll along the shore or sit back in one of the open air cafes and just enjoy the cheerful atmosphere of the area," Ms McEuen explained.

Split is located just a short ferry ride from the intriguing islands of Brac and Hvar, both of which may also be somewhere to visit while in the city.
