Holidaymakers in Dubrovnik could enjoy symphony orchestra
17 August 2010Fans of classical music may find a stay in luxury accommodation in Croatia is just what they are looking for in August.
That is because the popular and highly skilled Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra has scheduled a performance for one evening in the city.
Described by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board as "a pillar of the music programme", the concert is one of the leading events of the resort's summer festival.
On August 18th the musicians will come together under the guidance of guest conductor, Indonesian Mo Widjaja.
People who book flights to Croatia and a villa or other accommodation now could find themselves at the front of the queue for tickets to the show.
As well as taking in the concert, scaling the city's ancient walls and taking a trip on the new cable car that overhangs Dubrovnik may be considered must-dos for those who visit.
The city is located in the south of Croatia and is served by flights from the UK with both easyJet and British Airways.
