Holidaymakers in Hvar 'cannot go wrong with local food'
17 December 2010A holiday on the island of Hvar will not let anybody down in terms of food, drink and entertainment, assures one expert.
Samantha Daniels, offering advice on breaks in Croatia in her article for the Huffington Post, says there are a large number of restaurants all over the landmass that offer beautiful dishes.
The local speciality is undoubtedly fish, with most eateries providing freshly caught produce straight from the Adriatic Sea – "you really can't go wrong at any of them", promises the author.
When dining out is over, those staying in accommodation on Hvar may wish to extend their night out by visiting a bar or club.
"The most popular place [is] called Carpe Diem which is located right by the ferry ... This place rocks until 05:00 local time and it [is] tres romantique," writes Ms Daniels.
Hvar can be easily accessed by boat from the ancient Dalmatian city and popular holiday spot of Split.
