Holidays in Croatia 'are about much more than just Dubrovnik'
12 November 2010Those who are planning a holiday in Croatia should not feel as though they must choose from Dubrovnik and a handful of individual resorts, as the entire country has something to offer.
A meeting between British tour operators and the Croatian Ministry of Tourism at the recent London Travel Market resulted in the latter being warned not to shift too much focus to the ancient city, reports the Croatian Times following an article by Vecernji List.
Tara Hawkins of Croatian Villas, a provider of high-quality accommodation in Croatia, used the engagement to state Dubrovnik is not the beginning and end of the nation's offering to travellers.
While the historic city is rightly a major draw for tourists, the expert noted extra promotion of the picturesque Split Riviera and increased attention on the enjoyment to be had at Christmas and new year in Croatia would be advisable.
