Holidays in Croatia offer potential to enjoy day trips

While many tourists will agree there is more than enough on a holiday in Croatia to keep anybody entertained for a week or two, travellers do have the option of visiting a neighbouring nation.

That is exactly what Janice Law, a travel writer penning a piece for the Daily News, did when she was staying in Zadar recently.

Ms Law reveals she took day trips to both Bosnia and Montenegro - one of the world's newest countries - during her trip.

Such a plan may appeal to jet setters hoping to see even more of the world while on their travels on the Dalmatian coast.

However, those looking to relax may simply want to stay in one Croatian resort, with the writer noting these tend to be reasonably priced and ideal for families.

Other countries that border Croatia and could be visited in just a few hours include Slovenia, Hungary and Serbia.
