Hotel new year parties could be appealing to Croatian travellers
02 December 2009Travellers in Dubrovnik seeking a high-class new year celebration may wish to visit a hotel which has promised a luxury evening of entertainment on December 31st.
Hotel Excelsior in the ancient Croatian city will feature live music by Klapa Cilipi - the Dalmatian male choir - and traditional festive singing, reports the Croatian Times.
Meanwhile, tourists further up the Croatian coast in Rijeka also have a top-class hotel throwing a new year's party.
The Grand Hotel Bonavia in the city is holding an event in its Bonavia Classic and Winter Garden restaurants which will include an evening of fine food and drink.
Tickets for the bash in Dubrobnik cost 110 (£110) with admission to the Rijeka event slightly cheaper at £63, states the newspaper.
Either party could be ideal for visitors to Croatia seeking somewhere to see in 2010.
Travellers may wish to book a Croatian villa either on the stunning Dalmatian coast or in the heart of the country's mountainous region, from where they could head to either the Excelsior or the Bonavia come New Year's Eve.
It was reported this week by the Association of Independent Tour Operators that the number of Britons opting for luxury travel remains steady despite the recession.
