Ice skaters 'will have fun while staying in Dubrovnik accommodation'
08 December 2010People who go ice skating as part of their holiday in Dubrovnik this winter will have a fantastic time, if one expert is to be believed.
Keith Horton, chief executive of the National Ice Skating Association, says the pastime is an enjoyable activity that is best when carried out in a nice environment.
For many, this could be within the ancient streets of Dubrovnik, where the city's tourist board has confirmed a rink is now open for the festive season.
But there is a word of warning from Mr Horton for those about to board flights to Croatia for a break.
"The best clothes to wear are warm and ones which allow movement, but with nothing that hangs loose. They must not wear anything that could become entangled with other skaters," he states.
Dubrovnik's ice rink opened on Sunday (December 5th) and will remain open to the public until January 23rd.
