Ice skating on famous terrace could appeal to Zagreb travellers
30 December 2009There could still be time to book a trip to Zagreb and ice skate on the historic Oleander Terrace - an activity recommended by the city's tourist board.
With the rink in place until February 14th, tourists may wish to secure a Croatian villa and head to the Balkan country to enjoy a picturesque winter getaway.
The Zagreb Tourist Board website suggests travellers "enjoy the ultimate winter experience and don't worry about the skates, mulled wine, sweets and good music".
With entry priced at 20 kunas (£2.46) for 45 minutes, ice skating on the famous Zagreb landmark could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Ice skating is available on the Oleander Terrace every day from 09:00 to 23:00 local time.
Adela Markovic, a travel writer for Guide2Croatia, last month stated that Zagreb has "an air of magic" about it during the winter months, which is by far the best time to visit the city.
