Industry fair may illustrate potential of business travel in Croatia

Almost 1,500 people have travelled to Croatia for the current SASO Fair, an event for specialists in the building, wood and metal industries.

The significant number of exhibitors have made their way from 15 different countries around the world to be in the venue in Split, the Croatian Times states, following a report by Poslovni Dnevnik.

Each of the 1,497 traders will be showing off their wares at the fair, while there will also be ample opportunity to meet with other businesspeople and exchange contact details.

Some of those in attendance are said to be equipment manufacturers, craftsmen, as well as those displaying products in the fields of energy, finance and telecommunications, the news source explains.

The ability of the historic city of Split to host such a large event may mark it out among business leaders as a place to travel to for the next conference, exhibition or annual general meeting.

Split is located in the centre of the Dalmatian coast and is well served with flights to Croatia from the UK.
