International music festival to delight organ music fans in Istria
21 August 2009A music festival that celebrates the history of organ music is set to take place in Istria, Croatia.
The 12 annual Organum Histriae has been designed to help preserve and promote organ music and the instruments themselves, according to the Croatian Times.
However, a host of different instruments will be played at the feast of music including percussion from Anders Astrand and trumpets played by Stanko Arnold.
The history of organ music in the Istria area will also be on show with the opportunity for people to learn and talk to like-minded people about their interests.
Organ fans will want to make their way to Umag for the opening of festivities on September 1st. Several other concerts will take place until September 6th when the event ends.
Croatia has welcomed a number of cultural events that will attract visitors from all over the world of late, including the Evening of Open Taverns near Split, which opens tonight (August 21st).
