International success may inspire film buffs to travel to Croatian festival
06 December 2010Croatia has arguably underlined its credentials in the film industry by winning a prestigious award at the Euroshorts festival, which could tempt some to travel to the country in order to attend an upcoming movie event.
A report by Dalje, cited by the Croatian Times, reveals the production 9.ozujak was named the Best Short Fiction Film at the recent ceremony.
The film was made by Croatian Irena Skoric, whose peers are potentially in line to take part in the Zagrebdox festival in late February and early March.
Fans of the flicks could enjoy an entertaining break in Zagreb should they wish to travel at this time and take in the event, which focuses on documentary-style films.
Amateur producers are invited to showcase their work, with the winner offered the chance to broadcast it to a nationwide audience.
The upcoming festival will be the seventh time organisers have held the event, which is hosted by Movieplex in Centre Kaptol.
