Iranian culture week arrives in Zagreb
06 February 2009A week dedicated to all things Iranian has arrived in Zagreb, drawing in those fascinated by the intrigue of Middle Eastern culture.
Held at the Croatian capital's Mimara museum from February 4th, the Iranian week of culture will see a variety of academics, professors and artists front a number of interesting seminars.
The week will also feature fascinating characters such as carpet weavers and illustrators present riveting examples of 7,000-year-old Iranian culture.
Speaking to the Croatian Times, a spokesman for the city commented that the event demonstrated a multi-cultural future for Zagreb.
Mohammad Fadaifard, the Iranian Ambassador to Croatia, added that he was pleased to see the two countries strengthening their cultural relations.
The event has been organised in conjunction with the Croatian Ministry of Culture, the Iranian Cultural Centre and the city of Zagreb.
From February 7th, the Iranian week of culture will enchant a whole new city when it moves to Split.
