Is Croatia's ski holiday season on the way?
08 October 2010People planning to book a good value-for-money skiing holiday in Croatia over the coming weeks may be pleased to hear the country is set to get colder next week.
The Croatian Times reports online portal Index has suggested temperatures are due to plummet in locations away from the Dalmatian coast.
These include areas in the centre and north of the country, where some of Europe's best up-and-coming skiing resorts are to be found.
According to the news source, the weather will be bright and cold and the temperature could hit two degrees Celsius.
Such news may act as a confidence boost to those who are thinking of a skiing holiday in Croatia, with cold weather now perhaps indicating the country's pistes will soon be white.
Meanwhile, it is predicted to be as warm as 20 degrees Celsius on the Dalmatian coast, so those hoping to pick up some autumn sun should also be catered for.
Balkans.com recently reported visitor numbers to Croatia are on the rise, with all major airports welcoming more passengers in August than in the same month in 2009.
