Italian songstresses arrive in Croatia

A trio of Italian songstresses have arrived in Croatia to entertain lovers of opera and classical music alike.

On March 1st, Giorgia, Mara and Stefania - who collectively go by the name Apassionante - will appear at Zagreb's Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall for a night of unforgettable entertainment.

The girls' performances are not only characterised by their music, but also their bold sense of style when on stage.

Stefania told the Croatian Times: "Who says we have to appear on stage in high-necked and traditional dress?

"Eroticism and music are two very passionate forms of communication and together they generate very strong language."

Mara echoed the thoughts of her band mate, commenting that classical and music were "utterly modern" forms of art.

Also in Croatia this month, more than 100,000 revellers turned up for a costumed carnival in the coastal resort of Rijeka, the news site Javno reported.
