Legendary British designer lands in Zagreb
28 January 2009The legendary British graphic designer Jonathon Barnbrook has landed in Zagreb to promote his latest exhibition.
Entitled Collateral Damage, the show at the city's PM Gallery explores Mr Barnbook's work with a number of popular icons, including David Bowie and Damien Hirst.
Following a lecture in the city, Mr Barnbrook discussed his work and views on the industry with the entertainment portal Javno.
He said: "It's the way you can create a universe for somebody to enter, particularly like in the record covers where you have the music and you have to create the visuals."
He added that popular culture such as music was very influential on his work, as it allowed him to "say something that can motivate people", albeit not in a direct way.
The Collateral Damage exhibition opened in Zagreb on January 21st and will remain in the Croatian capital until February 10th.
