Lopud villa may be typical of quality found in Croatia

A Croatian villa that is up for sale on the island of Lopud may serve as a reminder to potential holidaymakers of the quality they can enjoy in the country.

Country Life has featured the property on its website, explaining Lopud is a spot where cars are banned and beautiful sea views are on constant offer.

The villa in question is made from stone and includes vine-covered terraces, perhaps making it an ideal location in which to enjoy a relaxing break.

For something similar, tourists could book accommodation on one of Croatia's numerous islands.

Lopud is one of the popular Elafiti islands, found just off the coast of the country's premier resort – Dubrovnik.

It can be accessed from the city by boat in just 45 minutes, meaning those who take flights to Dubrovnik from the UK – available with airlines such as British Airways and easyJet – can easily transfer to the landmass.
