Luxury Croatian accommodation could be ideal for older visitors
20 October 2009Luxury accommodation in Croatia is more likely to be snapped up by older visitors.
Research by Saga Holidays shows that 2.7 million Britons aged 35 to 54 either travelled recently or are intending to go soon.
And a spokesman for the company, Paul Green, believes people of this age group have more money and time to invest in an expensive luxury holiday.
He said: "It is a good time to see the world and they [older people] often do it in four or five star luxury rather than backpacking as they might have done in their student days."
Croatia offers a huge selection of top-end accommodation, particularly along its beautiful coastline.
Its Mediterranean climate also allows visitors to enjoy stunning villas and open-air swimming pools.
Earlier this month price comparison site Moneysupermarket.com recommended older people take advantage of cheap travel insurance deals and take a break in a value-for-money destination such as Croatia.
