Magical Dubrovnik 'is a great place for a new year holiday'

People looking to see in 2011 in one of the world's most beautiful destinations should consider a holiday in Dubrovnik, if one tourist agency is to be believed.

Adriatica.net Group, a provider of advice and services for travellers, says "magical" Dubrovnik is a place that is full of fun.

It is hosting a special New Year's Eve Party on December 31st, featuring a plethora of performers, such as singers, dancers and musicians.

Traditional tunes will be played in order to say goodbye to the previous 12 months before welcoming the next period.

There will also be a special concert by the Dubrovnik Symphonical Orchestra in Stradun, Dubrovnik's main and most famous street.

According to the organisation, the short winter days are perfect for taking a look around the historic city, before hopping in a spa or relaxing with a bottle of high-class local wine.

Dubrovnik Tourist Board suggests the colder months are ideal for visiting the resort, as the crowds of summer have disappeared and prices are typically lower.
