Marketing conference may illustrate quality of business travel in Croatia

Firms looking for a base to use for business meetings and conferences may wish to pay attention to corporate travellers who are in Croatia this week for an example of the quality and facilities on offer in the country.

The Croatian Times notes the fifth annual Effie awards event will take place on Thursday (October 21st) and Friday.

Some of the world's top marketing experts are due to attend the conference at Zagreb's Hypo Centre.

Lecturer Peter Field is set to return after delivering what audiences voted the best address at last year's event, while London-based Tassos Tsitsopoulos will also make a speech.

The meeting will be a mixture of awards and public speaking, with different parts of the centre used for each.

While Zagreb may be the economic capital of Croatia, delegates may find the coastal resorts of Split and Dubrovnik to be just as effective at playing host to a large business conference or get-together.
