Media elite to attend Rovinj's Weekend Media Festival

For anyone planning a last minute trip to Croatia this month, the Weekend Media Festival is one event many in the industry will not want to miss.

Taking place at Rovinj in Istria, the festival runs from September 17th to 19th and is billed as a meeting between professionals and others to discuss the media world.

Some of the world's most prominent media names will be in attendance at the event, including Thomas G Her, MTV's chief executive director for the former Yugoslavia and Albania.

Lectures are to be held by Christian Hernandez Gallardo, Google's head of new markets and Alexander Oswald, head of marketing at Nokia.

As well as networking and learning opportunities, there will also be the opportunity to party in the town.

Istria contains some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Croatia, so for visitors it is well worth taking out an extra few days and exploring what it has to offer.
