16 January 2008Foreign property buyers interested in Eastern Europe are increasingly turning their attention to Croatia and Montenegro, it has emerged.
According to BalkanInsight.com, Montenegro has drawn a consistently larger stream of keen investors since its real estate market first blossomed several years ago.
The news provider deemed the destination a "property paradise" as a result of the business boom, singling out its liberal purchasing laws as well as its reasonable house prices.
Further promising prospects for the Balkan region cropped up this month as overseas property company Homesgofast.com and mortgage broker Frontiers Financial Services (FFS) announced plans to work together to offer finance to investors.
As the first UK firm to offer overseas mortgages in Croatia and Montenegro, FFS representatives revealed their intentions to facilitate loans of up to 70 per cent loan-to-value for both UK and Irish buyers.
Montenegro is noted for its large lakes, snow-capped mountains and "crystal-clear" rivers, with holiday specialists regularly pointing out the burgeoning British interest in its property market over the last year.
