Morgan Freeman staying in Croatian villa
18 August 2010Hollywood star Morgan Freeman has appeared at the Dubrovnik Film Festival, where his new film Invictus was shown.
The actor is currently on holiday in the ancient city and was staying in a Croatian villa nearby, reports the Daily Mail.
Fellow US icons Kevin Spacey and Mickey Rourke are previous guests at the luxury accommodation.
Prior to his appearance at the festival, Freeman is said to have spent several days on a boat touring the islands off Croatia's coast, the newspaper explains.
He is delighted with what he found, which may have included the islands of Korcula, Brac, Hvar and others.
Travellers to Croatia can expect to enjoy a range of top-class cuisine in the country, with the emphasis on seafood, as well as local specialities such as Dalmatian ham, the publication notes.
Fellow actor Gerard Butler has already enjoyed a holiday in the country this year, taking time out from filming nearby to spending time in Dubrovnik.
