Motoring holiday in Croatia could take in Llubljana
01 July 2010It is now possible to visit the Slovenian capital Lljubljana via a direct road link while on holiday in Croatia.
A 14.8-kilometre stretch of the motorway has been opened that completes the full route and means the build-up of traffic that was common where the road previously rejoined the old route will be a thing of the past, a report by Vecernji List detailed in the Croatian Times explains.
The result of this is that those travelling in Croatia and other countries around its border will be able to complete journeys in shorter times.
It means people staying in accommodation in Croatia could potentially visit other nations as part of their trip thanks to the road.
The motorway is just part of the overall highway that links major cities in central Europe from Salzburg and Zagreb to Solun, the newspaper explains.
Croatia also offers visitors a main road link between Split and Zagreb.
