Mount Srd cable car set to entertain Dubrovnik travellers once more

The repair of a cable car in Dubrovnik is set to revitalise the experience travellers to the city will enjoy this summer.

Linking the old town to the top of Mount Srd, the cable car offers users picturesque views across the ancient city and, in the opposite direction, the Adriatic Sea, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Workers are currently on site renovating the airborne transport to its former glory.

As well as creating the opportunity for memorable views and a unique journey, the cable car will also lead visitors to a mountaintop museum, the publication explains.

People on holiday in Dubrovnik this summer could use the facility as a way of escaping the city for a short while by taking a stroll on the peak that overlooks it.

Meri Matesic, director of the Croatian National Tourist Office for London, this week suggested there are a number of beautiful rural spots to be enjoyed within a few miles of Dubrovnik.
