Music fans invited to travel to Dubrovnik for jazz and wine event
12 November 2010The Dubrovnik International Wine and Jazz Festival may be all the reason some music enthusiasts need to book a holiday in Croatia.
Confirmed for May 25th-29th next year, the celebration will feature world-class performances from a host of bands and singers.
Everything from New Orleans jazz to blues and gospel will be on offer, with the likes of Poncho Sanchez, Arturo Sandoval, Spyro Gyra and Chuck Mangione on hand to provide the vocals.
And it is not only music on the menu, as organisers promise visitors will get a true taste of Croatia should they attend the festival.
Fine Croatian wine will be selected from some of the 620 types currently produced from more than 50 varieties of grape in the country, while local cuisine will be served.
Other events to look forward to in Dubrovnik over the coming months include the city's New Year's Eve Party, annual traditional carnival and the Festivity of St Blaise.
